The long running boat show was conducted between the 27th and 30th of September and celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. Over the past two decades the show has evolved to become a comprehensive representation of New Zealand’s marine market.

From its beginnings in 1998, the show has grown to take in the commercial sector, fishing seminars, trailer boats and a host of other vessels and accessories while retaining its status as New Zealand’s largest on-water boat show.

The Marex 375 has a full planning hull, built for single or twin engine with gear or shaft. Marex has tried to give the boat a yacht feeling in the design of the bow and with the wide side decks.

The 375 is based on the design expression that today’s customers want to stay upstairs and not have a seating area below decks.

Marex made room for two large seating areas in the boat with one inside the saloon and one outside in a very comfortable cockpit. The extremely simple, flexible and fast canopy solution makes it possible to close up the rear section of the boat in a matter of a couple of minutes.

Marex CEO, Mr Espen Aalrud travelled from Norway to attend the show and spent every day speaking with customers and visitors. “We are overwhelmed by the interest from the boaters down under.” said Mr Aalrud, “It seems we Norwegians have more in common with you than I expected. We did not foresee this interest but it will be real fun to see in the coming years. Marex are here to stay!”, he continued.

The inaugural presentation of the Marex 375 in New Zealand drew a great deal of attention from boaties and the media who were all impressed by the high build quality and the innovative features incorporated into the design and layout.

“The Marex design offers a safe, relaxing closeness to the water and an immersive boating experience for all on board but can be closed up at a moments notice in the case of bad weather” he added, “They are very clever!”

The Marex range currently includes award-winning designs from 31 feet to 37.5 feet and all boats offer innovation and a choice of engine and propulsion combinations that will suit almost any application.
