Performance Personified

Otam Millennium 80, International

Otam is an example of Italian yachting excellence, the result of professional expertise and passionate craftsmen who create unique products that are highly appreciated by very demanding owners.

Producing such boats now for over 64 years, Otam are an example of a shipyard that has reached the pinnacle of their craft. This Otam Millennium 80 named M/Y Alagi is now available for the first time since she was delivered to her purchaser.

An aggressive looking design, the Otam 80 is no less assertive when it comes to performance - her top speed of 50 knots out-performs all others in her class. In seas that have other craft struggling for stability, the Otam 80's ride has been described as "cushy and soft" without all the jarring expected. The deep "V" hull designed by naval architect Umberto Tagliavini in Aramat (fibreglass and Kevlar composite) is effective and supports the high speed and handling one would expect of such a boat.

Once you look past the obvious speed and performance traits, you will see that the Otam 80 is stylish and comfortable. Her main deck is wide and spacious providing a large cockpit seating area undercover of the hard-top cabin roof and huge sun lounging spaces both fore and aft. The interior of the saloon is plush and light-filled, the minimalist styling accented by the timber cabinetry.

Whether you call the helmstation "Mission Control" or "The Flight Deck", M/Y Alagi is equipped with seating for the "pilot" and five "co-pilots", across the complete beam of the boat. The well equipped helm station offers good visibility and access to the side decks is through large pantograph doors adjacent to the flight deck, both port and starboard.

Close quarters manouvering is made simple with bow and stern thrusters supported by the full suite of Furuno marine electronics.

The Otam 80 layout incorporates three guest staterooms; the Master is foward and spans the full width of the boat and is supplemented by two further Guest Staterooms, both with twin beds. All guest staterooms are serviced with an Ensuite Bathroom.

Moving aft on the lower deck and quite separate from the guest accommodation, you will enter the Galley and Laundry area that doubles as the crew mess. The Galley is well equipped with Miele appliances and is light and easy to maintain. Further aft, between the Galley and the Engine Room are two Crew Cabins, each with two bunks, and the Crew Bathroom.
